Gaius Valerius Avillius, of the Voltinia tribe, of Nemausus, deceased veteran of the VII legion Gemina Felix, 40 years old, here he lies.

Commentary

Le Roux 1982: 202 dates this to around AD 100 and implies a recruitment under the Flavians. Palao Vicente 2006: 174 also dates the stone to the end of the first century or beginning of the second with recruitment under the Flavians.
