Apparatus

L.2. CIL reads either Q. F(ilius) Fab(ia) Celer Bri[x(ia)] OR Q. f. A[ren(iensi] Celer Bri[x(ello)]. An image of the stone shows a very small letter between the R and the C, but it is not clear if this is an A (as on HEpOnl) or an I (as on CIL). L9. reads MASCELIO LIB but image of stone shows MASCELLIO LIB

Translation

Quintus Cumelius Celer, son of Quintus, of the Fabia tribe, of Bracara, veteran of the II legion Adiutrix, here he lies, 75 years old. Quintus Cumelius Rufinus, his son and heir, a soldier in the II legion Adiutrix, for his father, and Cumelius Mascellius, his freedman, put this up.
