Translation

The murmillo contrarete (gladiator) Faustus from the Neronianus, fought 12 times, a native of Alexandria, 35 years old, here he lies. Apollonia his wife and Hermes the Thracian (gladiator) put this up.

Commentary

Neronianus denotes a gladiator from the imperial training school at Capua.
