Translation

Bassus of Turobriga, a cavalryman of the Ala Vettonum, set up this altar for Ataecina willingly and deservedly in fulfillment of his vow.

Commentary

Reading of Turobrigensis disputed but probable since the goddess Ataecina, the dedicatee of this altar, also takes the titles Dea Sancta Turibrigensis and Ataecina Turibrigensis (or Turubrigensis), among others (González-Conde Puente 1988: 131-32)
